All is of faith as all is of love. Make it clearest to those of heart. All is of justice because all is of life, even the worst offender of death’s call still lives in terror of the day he or she will perish. Make each and all your brethren, for the light of the Lord is with us all. Make each and everyone your keeper, because we are all together in life for ever.
Love life today in wordless wonder for all the might of justification gets
thrown away when living in the now is engulfed with connective expression and heart.
Early morning broke at 3:00am. Suddenly I am wide awake singing THERE’S NOTHING BETTER THAN LOVE, a duet that Gregory Hines and Luther Vandross sang in 1987. (see video below)
Never taking anything at face value, I wonder about this tender and touching after-death communication from Gregory.
In my former show business life, I represented Gregory for close to nine years, 1978-1986.
Gregory was born on Valentine’s Day and stood for LOVE.
What was he trying to tell me? Why was I singing that song? ……
Because I just needed to be reminded …. “to reach for that star”.
Love is a conundrum. Romantic love requires access to one’s deepest places to intimately make the bond and feel safe. Yet the defenses keep one’s interest peaked with mystery and exchange to further knowledge. One’s self love requires a resource that repeats, supports and bolsters feelings of internal confidence and care. Love, of both self and in mutuality, require significant expansion from old constructs that have previously eluded, undermined and suffocated all resistant reasons for exchange. Mutuality may now be of such completion and ease, no defenses are needed, expansion is allowed.
Dreams are a tapestry of the familiar and unfamiliar mixed in ways we cannot fully assess. Try as we may to apply anthropomorphic analysis or psychodynamic theories to that elusive understanding, the inner reality of the presence of dream narratives, while seductively beckoning us, remains a mystery. When I awaken from fresh exposure to a dream-filled night, I feel there was more substance to that somewhat jarring dreamscape experience than the chore-filled doing of the day. What God is saying is that clarity is a transitory human construct, and that preparation for eternity encompasses daily pursuit, out-of-pattern, combining in unplanned ways the “normal” and the “new”. There are limits to our ability to decipher the ineffable. We are simply treated to glimpses of what it means to collapse past, present and future, to defy the physical laws of solid bodies, and to revel in the borderless expanse of uncertainty and dim perception. To our earth-bound senses this apparent chaos feels disconcerting, when in truth it is the way to a unified field theory appreciating and accepting the security of the sweet “mystery” of life. Since we never die and God is our constant witness, there is only love, love of being, love of connection, and love of all that is!
Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
An endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
And you its only seed.
It’s the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance.
It’s the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance.
It’s the one who won’t be taken,
Who cannot seem to give,
And the soul afraid of dyin’
That never learns to live.
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun’s love
In the spring becomes the rose.
Love is many expresses toward a direction of evolution that incorporates honesty, regard, value and attunement. Love is the much reasoned and not understood leap to make wise that which comes from the heart. The two do not always coalesce.
The weak are forthright, as they cannot hold the deceit. Holding deceit is harder than living erect.
God is the spark of grace that helps us make meaning to qualify our lives, endure the challenges to accept the light, and repair the discord that seeks unity.
God is the love in the physical world, the gift of the service of the non-physical world, and the genius of reach of it all to the ALL.
